2025 "Mutual Muse" Sauvignon Blanc

Naturally fermented in a mix of neautral French oak barrels, all elongated cigar barrels that enhance structure with increased lees contact. We employ gentle batonnage in the early stages of the wine’s life. After completion of MLF, the wine is aged sur lie. Some lots this vintage were racked off the gross lees early to preserve aromatics. 

Before bottling, the barrels were racked to a stainless steel tank to blend gracefully and tighten up. This wine was bottled without fining and filtration. Minimal effective sulfites added. 

13.2% abv, 6.9 grams of acid

On the nose, honeydew melon, pineapple core, lemon-lime zest and chamomile stems. Possibly detecting minerality like static in the air before a storm. The aromas shift as the wine opens. 

On the palate, bracing acidity hits first, the flavors present in the aroma unravel themselves with warmth. On the back of the palate, minerality is present. 

Upon writing these notes in March 2026, I anticipate this wine to age gracefully for many years. Possibly over a decade.
